Global Music Awards 2001

In music's biggest night, Linkin Park won four awards, including Album of the Year, Artist of the Year and Best New Artist. Jennifer Lopez, who became the first artist to get nominated in four genre categories (Pop, R&B, Rap and Dance) landed a total of six nominations, winning Best Dance Album. Other notable moments include Aaliyah winning a posthumous award for Best R&B Album.
